MEDIA RELEASE: EXPERIENCE KINGSTON’S CULINARY SCENE WITH KINGSTON FOOD TOURS

A new culinary walking tour, Kingston Food Tours, is showcasing the best local restaurants and specialty stores that the Limestone City has to offer. Kingston Food Tours will be offering guided tours of historic downtown Kingston, led by a local expert on an ongoing basis.

The first tour to be released, The Classic Kingston tour, will kick off in June. Guests will be taken to exclusive tastings at eight local restaurants and shops, tour guides will highlight points of interest, and upcoming events. Classic Kingston tours will begin at 11:00AM and run for two hours and forty five minutes. Tickets are $69.00 for adults and $59.00 for children aged 6 to12. Vegetarian, vegan and other dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice. Tickets for the 'Classic Kingston' tour are for sale now at www.kingstonfoodtours.ca

Kingston Food Tours aims to attract both visitors to Kingston and locals to celebrate the food scene and enjoy the city attractions. “It’s not exclusively for foodies” Heather Ford, Owner, Kingston Food Tours, explains, "it's for people who love great food and want to learn more about our city's local restaurants, shops, history, and culture while having fun. Our goal is to showcase some of the amazing local restaurants, artisans, and producers we have in Kingston."

All of the Kingston Food Tour partners are locally owned businesses that share a passion for creative, fresh, locally sourced food. The Classic Kingston tour includes stops at: Dianne's Fish Shack and Smokehouse, Pan Chancho Bakery and Cafe, Olivea, Tango Nuevo, Atomica's Pizza and Wine Bar, General Brock's Commissary, Kingston Olive Oil Company, and The Common Market.

"It has been a pleasure to work with this energetic, enthusiastic group of entrepreneurs who care deeply about the quality of their ingredients and every aspect of their food.  Learning about them, their families and their businesses first hand has been an amazing part of developing our tour." Heather Ford, Owner, Kingston Food Tours.
